If I had the chance to turn time back, I would definitely turn time back to Day 1, be excited for this trip and cherish everything I have. (If you've read my pre-post)
This trip, it was different. I was alone on many occasions (which is something I really hate) but learnt to be alone. The people I travelled with was also a different of group of people, hence many new experiences gained.

DAY 1.
My flight was at 3.20AM and needed to get to the airport by 1AM. It's late and there were no trains in operation, so when my Ambs trio wanted to come and send me off, I didn't even want to tell them which terminal my flight was at. But they got out of their houses earlier than me and headed for the airport to send me off!! So freaking touched :') Some friend also texted me although I didn't tell a lot of people that I was going to Korea hehe felt so loved!! ❤
We went in real early. We arrived at the airport 2 and a half hours before our flight! Wanted to explore the Departure Hall, but most of the shops were closed at 1.30AM :(
I ended up visiting the Butterfly Garden at Terminal 3! First time I'm so early for a flight HAHA it was pretty cool!!
Korea, here I come!
I'm
usually really excited for my flights, but this time round it just felt normal.
No good movies for in-plane entertainment, so some K-Pop music would do
followed by a nap!
---
8 hours later, we touched down in Incheon
International Airport, South Korea. Back once again, and the first thing I
purchased was the 빙그레 - 바나나 우유 !
A must-try in Korea and well loved Banana Milk in a cute packaging!
---
As the time for lunch approached, we headed to our first stop -
something like Korean Ba Kut Teh. Generous servings of pork inside a stew with
the usual banchan at the side. I would say I wasn't a fan of it but the
potatoes inside the stew were amazing!
---
Next up was another flight - from Gimpo International Airport to
Jeju International Airport. Jeju, here we come once again!
---
As we followed a tour group (sadly, no Free and Easy this time as my grandparents were on board and they can't do much walking :<), we visited many touristy areas but it was overall a good experience although I always choose Free and Easy and plan my own itinerary!
We went to the Mysterious Road, where I also
visited 5 years ago.
---
We visited somewhere I didn't go the other time round - this place
where we carved our own ice mugs and went to an Ice Gallery, as well as a Trick
Eye Museum. Yeah, the usual touristy areas. Really looking forward to a Free
& Easy trip to Korea soon!! I really need that :') There's also a lot to
look forward to on my next trip to Korea which I will touch more on it in
another day's post!
Just me casually sitting in my igloo at negative I don't know how many degree Celsius. Okay I swear it was freezing HAHA I got judged by so many people for not wearing a jacket/scarf but oh well.
And then me in my car carved out from ice! IT WAS FREEEZING my fingers were numb HAHA
We then headed to the Trick Eye Museum!
Dinner was a Traditional Korean Set which consisted of 8 banchan (side dishes) items, a really good, steaming bowl of egg, fish and pork! I learnt previously that one should wrap the pork in lettuce together with some black beans and gochujang, Korea's chili/hot pepper paste. Dinner was sooooo filling!
---
As night approached, we headed to our first hotel for our trip - Oriental Hotel
Jeju. Not the same one as I stayed 5 years ago!
We also took a night stroll around the district (it was the
Samdoi-Dong area) and had supper until 11.30pm! Kyochon Chicken for supper! We felt like Koreans that night - Korean fried chicken and beer!
Here's E-MART, a 3 storey supermarket which sold almost anything and everything!!! Was so impressed and loved it (hehe if you know me, I love grocery shopping!!) On my first
night, I already bought a lot of Korean snacks hehe!
Headed back to the hotel with a lot of goods to conclude Day 1!
