Hai Ting in Korea - Day 2

DAY 2//

Woke up and went down for breakfast at 8.30AM. It was a normal hotel continental cum Korean kind of buffet breakfast, nothing special! Photograph is sooooo bad but well this trip's blog will just be for my keepsake :')

After breakfast, we headed to Hallasan where I went 5 years ago too! There was an option to climb, but me wanting to explore the area around there and visit some cafes, I didn't go on the mini hike and went to roam around instead! In addition, I've already climbed to the peak back then heh!

There weren't any special cafes, so I decided to try a Korean coffee chain - Angel in Us Coffee. My grandma tagged along too! We had an Ice Cream Bread toast and an Americano. Not my kind of coffee but grandma wanted something without milk so oh well.

After our morning snack (which was vvv filling) I saw grilled sotong skewers!! I LOVE SOTONG hehe so of course I grabbed one! Grilled with butter and a sauce, this baby was pretty pricey at ₩4000 but it was soooo good!!!

Next up, a Korean Traditional Folk Village (제주민속촌)
! Really liked the Jeju honey we bought 5 years ago, so I was ready to get 2 bottles this time round! Nothing special about this place, except that you get to see how traditional houses in Korea were like and spot a Jeju Black Pig!

So many similar itineraries from the other time I came, kind of sian but oh well here's a Korean BBQ Black Pork meal! Super yumz!

Had a really quick stop-by at the Chocolate Factory.

Here's a place where I didn't know existed - the Hello Kitty Museum! A Hello Kitty MUSEUM wait what! Although I'm not a fan of Hello Kitty, I thought this place was pretty great and I'd definitely like it as a kid! It's really full of Hello Kitty and the first thing we see after entering is the mega huge tower of Hello Kitty toys! A for effot man.

Nearby, was the place in Jeju I was most excited to visit - the O'sulloc Green Tea Museum! Reason being I wanted to try the food at the O'sulloc cafe HAHAHA SO TYPICAL OF ME!
The museum was really prety and chic, surrounded by a green tea plantation! The observatory tower smelt the best for some reason HAHA.

Traditional green tea sets!

We hurried our way through the entire museum cause the queue for the food looked very very very long and we thought we had to queue for more than half an hour to get our food. My fam was really nice and they all gave in to me omg although I felt really bad :(
But the queue was actually prety quick!!

I ordered their Green Tea O'fredo, a special and limited item - Green Tea Latte with Azuki Beans (which sadly my grandma thought I didn't want to finish and let the staff clear when I only drank half of it CRIES A RIVER CAUSE IT WAS NICE AND VERY EXPENSIVE) and the Green Tea Roll Cake which was rhe bomb man.

Next up, the Jeju Glass Museum! Back here for the 2nd time and managed to appreciate the glass art even more! I'm someone who appreciates art a lot!

Wew, photo of my fam! So glad to be able to travel with my grandparents, uncle and his girlfriend! They are all really loving people and allowed me to feel freaking loved :')
They always fought to pay for my stuff (although I really want to pay for myself) and always gave in to me :'))))

Also bought a churro at the Glass Museum then we headed back to the North of Jeju where we stayed! Visited the Jeju Dragon Head Rock at night, but previously I visited it in the morning and it is prettier in the morning! Was stuck in the Jeju jam on our way back haha.

DINNER TIME. 2nd night's dinner was a simple and light Seafood Soup! Pretty blend, so I mixed all the banchan together with my soup for flavour HAHAHA. That night, I mustered my courage for something. I used to learn Korean at like P6-Sec 1 but I didn't really use/speak Korean at all. I've always been shy to do so. That night, I told myself that I have to use a phrase which we learnt in class and I did. It was really simple, easy, but I felt really accomplish cause I never thought i would have even said that phrase to someone else, and to a Korean at all. It was 언니, 김치 좀 더 주세요  (and I said some other stuff also but that was the phrase!) Not a huge fan of Kimchi, but I did it cause I remember 선생님 made us practice a conversation regarding Dining over and over again. Till now, the entire conversation is stuck in my head!

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel to rest for a while before heading out to walk around the district. Spotted a mini carnival!

We went to MARTRO which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!! They sold everything in FREAKING MEGA PACKAGES omg just look at this Synder's Pretzels!!! A usual package is only like what, 1/10 of this but this was a whooping 32OZ!!! Mayo were sold in really huge containers too! Not sure why but I lost photographs taken at MARTRO except a few :(

Walked to the Tapdong district which really felt like, Taiwan's 西門町 but all the shops were already closed by the time we got there at around 10pm :(

After our night exploration, we finally visited A Factory Cafe which I've already set my eyes on since the first time I passed-by it!!! Typical of Hai Ting, cafes are a must to go! They served coffee ranging from speciality brews to our usual espressos and sold beans!!

I LOVED THEIR COFFEE omg it was really good. Thick, flavourful and a really good balance of bitter and sweet! They had a roastery and I bought a bag of blend back for Kai Ren! (Kai Ren told me that their blend was light and good!) They had pretty good looking baristas too HAHAHA it opens till 11pm so I had a night joe and it was freaking therapeutic sitting on the 2nd level of the cafe, watching the streets of Jeju with a good cuppa in hand nearing 11pm.

9AM-11PM daily
